10 Mar Best Newscast, Best Anchor Among Honors Awarded To FOX31 Denver at Colorado Broadcasters Association Awards of Excellence
FOX31 Denver, KDVR-TV Denver, won big at the Colorado Broadcasters Association Awards of Excellence Saturday night. The station took home more first place awards than any other Denver television station*, including the coveted Best Newscast Award, for the second year in a row. Anchor Jeremy Hubbard was also awarded Best News Anchor.
“It is gratifying to receive this outstanding recognition from our peers at a time when KWGN and KDVR are continuing to improve the quality of our local broadcasts. The sheer number of awards also validates the overall excellence of our news and promotion teams in the very competitive Denver market,” said General Manager Peter Maroney.
FOX31 Denver won a total of eleven first place Awards of Excellence and eight certificates of excellence at the annual ceremony Saturday night. Additional first place awards went to FOX31 Denver Investigative Reporter Chris Halsne for Best Specialty Reporter, Reporter Justin Joseph and Photojournalist Rico Romero for Best Investigative Reporting, and Reporter Julie Hayden and Photojournalist Alex Rubin for Best Breaking News.
