22 Jul Tribune Broadcasting Stations Nominated For Two News & Documentary Emmy Awards

Tribune Broadcasting is pleased to announce that two of its broadcast television stations have been named finalists for the National News & Documentary Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). PIX11/New York was nominated for the station’s coverage of the Metro-North train derailment and KFOR/Oklahoma City was nominated for coverage of the Moore tornado.
Now in its 36th year, the News & Documentary Emmy® Awards continues its mission of honoring the documentary films, news reports, and multimedia projects that exemplify the best of broadcast journalism, honoring programming distributed during the calendar year 2014. The awards will be presented on Monday, September 28th, 2015 in New York City.
“The News & Documentary Emmy Awards are a prestigious honor recognizing the best in news gathering and broadcast journalism. There are only nine local stations recognized nationally this year and for two of our stations to be among them is a great acknowledgment of Tribune Broadcasting’s commitment to our viewers,” said Bart Feder, VP/News.
