Ten Tribune Broadcasting Stations Honored With Regional Awards
WXIN/Indianapolis and WTVR/ Richmond Honored for Overall Excellence
April 19, 2016—Tribune Broadcasting is pleased to announce that ten of its broadcast television stations have been awarded a total of 19 Edward R. Murrow Awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association, with WXIN in Indianapolis and WTVR in Richmond receiving the highest honors, Overall Excellence.
Tribune Broadcasting’s stations were awarded Edward R. Murrow Awards in the regional categories of Newscast, Feature Reporting, Hard News, News Series, Investigative Reporting, Sports Reporting, Writing and Use of and Video. WTVR in Richmond Virginia, which received six regional awards this year- including Overall Excellence, and WITI, receiving two regional awards this year, were both honored with National Edward R. Murrow Awards in 2015.

RTDNA has been honoring outstanding achievements in journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971; the awards recognize the best journalism produced by radio, television and online news organizations around the world.
