Six Tribune Broadcasting Stations Honored with Regional Awards
NEW YORK, April 23, 2019—Tribune Broadcasting is pleased to announce six of its broadcast television stations have been awarded a total of 21 regional Edward R. Murrow Awards by the Radio Television Digital News Association.
Tribune Broadcasting’s stations were awarded Edward R. Murrow Awards in the regional categories of Newscast, Feature Reporting, Hard News, Investigative Reporting, Social Media, Multimedia, Writing, Sound and Video.
WTVR in Richmond Virginia received eight regional awards this year. The station has received a total of 29 regional Murrow Awards and 4 national Edward R. Murrow Awards in the last three years. WITI in Milwaukee received six regional Murrow Awards this year and was also honored with a national Edward R. Murrow Award in 2015. Tribune stations in Denver, St. Louis and Des Moines all received two regional awards and Hartford received one.
