Including Best Arts/Entertainment and Best Writer
December 5, 2016 – WGNO, Tribune Broadcasting’s ABC Television Network affiliate for the greater New Orleans area, is pleased to announce the station has been honored with four Emmy Awards by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Suncoast Chapter.
“News with a Twist” reporter “Wild” Bill Wood received three Emmy Awards and the station’s Creative Service Director Jeff Funk was honored for WGNO’s ongoing campaign “God Bless Louisiana,” for which the station’s has won Emmy Awards for three consecutive years.
“Wild Bill Wood is one of the great storytelling reporters. He weaves a story with memorable moments and creativity. Jeff Funk’s passion with our God Bless Louisiana campaign is never ending. Jeff and his team capture the essence, tradition, and culture of Louisiana with breathtaking photography and writing,” said News Director Rick Erbach.
